What Does DISC Mean

There are many personality assessments out there, but we are a firm believer in the DISC.  That’s because it’s easy for people to understand and to adopt in the workplace and beyond. It’s also easy for people to adapt to one another once they learn about the different styles. The Disc Model of Human Behavior is based on what energizes us and our behavioral preferences. DISC means Dominant, Inspiring, Supportive, and Cautious. These are called a person’s primary personality style.

A Few Things to Remember About DISC

There is no right or wrong style. We believe you must have all of the styles on a team for it to be well-rounded because each of the different styles will see things the other doesn’t. If you want a quick decision put everyone on the team who is the same style. However, if you want a well-thought out decision make sure you include all of the different styles.
